ISTA and standard tools are 1 click installers
ISTA needs the EDIABAS connection method selecting for DCAN cables during setup.
The default setup is com port 3, configure the DCAN to com port 3 and latency 1
Open easyconnect in standard tools and pick STD and OBD as in the picture then press CHECK,
Provided it’s done right and the cables plugged into the laptop you will get 12v showing for battery,
if what the image of the left shows this, then it’s ready to go.
SP Datens are only needed to flashing modules, don’t try this on your own, it often ends badly,
Don’t update shit for the sake of it, if it works, it works, there are no benefits to updates most of the time.
I’ll tell you if you need them and probably do it on teamviewer.
This is only needed to flash used modules to your car if they need vin matching like restraint modules
